Nocturnal World
Home to some of our night beastiesNocturnal World has been fitted out with the latest technology that will allow visitors to see native Tasmanian wildlife in a natural night time setting, without losing any sleep! The team has designed the building so it is not just any night that is displayed, but the temperature, light and sounds conditions of the bush from the previous night. These are delayed by 12 hours in order to synchronise the nocturnal animal world with us daylight lovers.
Visitors arriving before 9:20 am can watch the sunset as the animals wake up to feed and explore night. Noctural World is home to many of the creatures we hear skittering at night, like Sugar Gliders, Bettongs, Bandicoots, Quolls and Possums. |
